With great thanks to Hashem Yisborach, I was zoche to take part in an introductory course intended to familiarize Cohanim with some of the work of the Bet Hamikdash.
With great awe, we donned the 4 white garments of the “ordinary” Cohen.
We washed our hands and feet as was done in the Temple. We learned and practiced the basics of sprinkling the blood, the mincha offering, and the ketoret (Using practical substitutions for blood, and ketoret).
In general it was a strangely familiar, inspiring, and blessed experience. Awe of Hashem Yisborach was experienced by Cohanim and observers.
Fortunate are we to have arrived at this day, where once again Jewish Souls are awakening to our ‘hidden’ need to reconnect the lost parts of our spiritual bodies. Virtually one third of our holy Torah’s mitzvot are missing without our holy Temple.
May we prepare ourselves in every way possible to receive the blessings of our holy Beit Hamikdash speedily in our days.
